Network Value to Transaction (NVT)

Recommended Posts

@oneXghost lower value means it is undervalued. You can get that by quantifying the network value (a market cap) of a cryptoasset in relation to the value of its transaction activity (dollar value of volume transmitted through the blockchain).

Does that mean value of some coin will go up in the future?

This doesn't necessarily mean it will go up.

From NVT Ratio we can get NVT Signal which can predict signals of price peaks.

To get that we need to divide Network Value of a cryptoasset by the 90 day moving average of Daily Transaction Value.

On chart bellow we can see:

  • orange color which indicates market cap of a bitcoin and
  • brown color which is for is NVT Ratio.

This is interesting. In the picture above NVT Ratio shows five market tops and four of them are correct:

  1. June 2011
  2. May 2013
  3. December 2013
  4. December 2017

Thanks for the links, I'll study those with my friend who is a mathematician and we will see if we can come up with more personalized charts. I'll let you guys know if we cook something good out of it ;)
