Recommended Posts

A digital trading platform is set to be launched by Bittrex which features a token approval process and will be open to international customers, according to the company’s blog on 29th October.

According to the release, the platform will list new tokens as well as approve them weeks rather than in months. The platform will  within the E.U and the Maltese government’s regulatory framework, in particular utilizing the Virtual Financial Assets Act (VFA). In a year time, the company plans to tender an application to the Malta Financial Services Authority, in order to become a regulated Virtual Financial Asset Exchange.

Initially branded as Bittrex Malta, the exchange will be offering its trading services for customers in all countries, except the U.S, saying that "current and new U.S.-based customers will continue to use Bittrex.com and will not have access to international markets."

Bittrex has also invested in Palladium (a Blockchain company based in Malta) in September 2018, picking a 10% stake. In August, the exchange became a member of the "Virtual Commodity Association Working Group", a self- regulatory association for digital currencies like cryptocurrencies.
